The Brief

During the late nineties the "milliennium bug" was perceived as a major threat to IT solutions worldwide. Local Government departments were particularly concerned about the potential impact of this, and were therefore relunctant to invest in new software that could not be thoroughly tested in time. However once the year 2000 came, this was essentially a non-issue, and new software could be specified.

The Solution

Tackling the issue head-on, this piece of direct mail was targetted at IT managers to arrive on their desks immediately on their return from the millennium holidays. With the simple proposition that with the calendar now in the year 2000, there was no longer a reason to hold back from looking at the IBS software solution. A perforated reply paid card was included to obtain information on when that authority may be looking to update their software.
